Last week, the four of us joined the 5th YES-O camp. We participated all the activities given, listened to the lectures and cooperated with the groups. On the third day of the camp, we went to Lolengs Mountain Spring Resort located at the Eden Tayabas, Toril Davao City. We participated in the eco-race and enjoyed the activity. After that, we roam around and feel the essence of the nature. Then, we spend time swimming in the pool although in a short span of time. As we went home, we are all tired of the trip. Even though the camp was very tiring, still we enjoyed the camp ang learned a lot from it.

In Our World of Patterns
“In Our World of Patterns” project focuses on patterns, mathematics, cultures, traditions, lifestyles and how patterns symbolize philosophy of one community. The objectives of the project are to encourage the student participants identify and understand the patterns which are usually found in mathematics or other subjects in school; observe and explore the patterns that represent the various philosophies in their respective cultures, lifestyle, fashion, or in other ways. The project will be implemented in three phases, from January to June 2009.

TEENAGERS NOWADAYS
We all know that teenagers have a lot things to do. Especially now we are in our senior years.
One of our problem is the SLEEPLESS NIGHTS.
So we'll give some TIPS and IDEAS:
5 Ideas for Better Sleep
A recent study shows that about 1 in 4 teens has trouble sleeping. Lack of sleep can affect everything from our emotions to how well we focus on tasks like driving. It can even cause headaches, stomachaches, or other physical problems.
How can we get the sleep we need? Here are some ideas:
- Be active during the day. You've probably noticed how much running around little kids do — and how soundly they sleep. Take a tip from a toddler and get at least 60 minutes of exercise a day. Physical activity can decrease stress and help people feel more relaxed. Just don't work out too close to bedtime because exercise can wake you up before it slows you down.
- Avoid alcohol and drugs. Lots of people think that alcohol or drugs will make them relaxed and drowsy, but that's not the case. Drugs and alcohol disrupt sleep, increasing a person's chance of waking up in the middle of the night.
- Say goodnight to electronics. Experts recommend using the bedroom for sleep only. If you can't make your bedroom a tech-free zone, at least shut everything down an hour or more before lights out. Nothing says, "Wake up, something's going on!" like the buzz of a text or the ping of an IM.
- Keep a sleep routine. Going to bed at the same time every night helps the body expect sleep. Creating a set bedtime routine can enhance this relaxation effect. So unwind every night by reading, listening to music, spending time with a pet, writing in a journal, playing Sudoku, or doing anything else that relaxes you.
- Expect a good night's sleep. Stress can trigger insomnia, so the more you agonize about not sleeping, the greater the risk you'll lie awake staring at the ceiling. Instead of worrying that you won't sleep, remind yourself that you can. Say, "Tonight, I will sleep well" several times during the day. It can also help to practice breathing exercises or gentle yoga poses before bed.
- Everyone has a sleepless night once in a while. But if you regularly have trouble sleeping and you think it's affecting your mood or performance, talk to your doctor.

FRIENDS
SPIRITS, way back from my elementary life at DPLC are the kind of friends that are more focus on studies but still very joyful and knows the right time to enjoy. Although they are not that open with their emotions, we get along very well. On the other hand, the NOMADZ from my high school life are very funny and full of laughter and joy. They are also very noisy even on mere conversations. What I like most is that they cheer you up and maintain the positive side of things.
As you can see, these two groups of friends of mine are different but both are very important in my life. Both play vital roles in my life. They are also similar in the sense that they caused a change in me and made my life complete.
